We had our Sunday spent again in Touch of Glory (TOG) Prayer Mountain situated at Antipolo City. It was my third visit this year and I really find it refreshing every time I go here. I bet this is such a good place to spend some devotion or quiet time.

Image

If you are to commute going here from Manila area, locate first either Robinson’s Metro East or Sta. Lucia Grand Mall, or you can also start from Araneta Center-Cubao. From either of those landmarks, ride a jeepney with Paenaan sign. Be sure to ask the driver first if they’ll go straight to Paenaan because there’s one time we had when they cut off their trip upon reaching Cogeo. The ride would normally take about more than an hour or two to reach this place. Jeepney trips with Paenaan sign will pass the main road near to TOG.

Now, if you are planning to go here with a car, better if you utilize your smartphone’s GPS or googlemaps or any navigation system you have that might be useful.

From the drop off point, you just have to do a quick walk towards the gate of TOG. Reaching their gate, you have to present at least one I.D. then log on to their guest book (as normal protocol) and at the same time they will hand you their rate sheet plus some guidelines as a reminder while you are inside. Entrance or use of rooms are to be paid either at their canteen or administration office.

They really have good facilities inside and various places where you can have quite time or hold a fellowship with a group. The doors you see below are for the rooms where you can stay overnight.

Below is the garden which is one of my favorite place to stay. This is also where you can freely use either of the gazeebos available, or you can just sit around on the grass with a group and do some sharing, praise and worship.

Now if you prefer to be alone or you just need more quiet time, there’s enough number of prayer cell where you can get  inside and pray. Just remember also to take off your sandals or shoes before getting inside.

With regards to food, they also have a canteen area. They serve good dishes and meriendas at good prices. But if you want to bring your own food, I think that would also be an option.

Conference rooms, main event area for services, fish ponds, parking area and more are also available.

So if you have time during holidays or weekends or better during lenten season, instead of spending more on get-away vacations, consider going to this place instead. Get a retreat for yourself, enjoy and be in touch with God.

Hello po kelangan po ba magpareserve muna bago pumunta?

    • bloggerokuno says:

Depende siguro sa activity na balak mo gawin. Kung gusto mo magstay dun ng 2 days or more, or kelangan mo ng parang conference room, tingin ko kelangan mo mapareserve. Pero kung day activity lang naman at inde kelangan ng conference room, no need for reservation..pwede na ang walk in visit 🙂

  7. Arnie says:

Hi, im planning to go at TGPM.
Do you know how can I get to the prayer mountain if im coming from starmall shaw blvd?

    • bloggerokuno says:

      Hi Arnie,

I am not sure if you are going to drive from shaw. If so, it may be hard to describe it here so I would suggest using a navigation app in your phone like Waze.

On the other hand if you will go take public transportation, you may want to take either of these route from Starmall Shaw.

      Option A.
      1. Ride a jeepney with signs going to Antipolo/Taytay/Cainta and then ask the driver to drop you off in Cainta Junction.
Note: TGPM is located in Antipolo but there are two major roads to enter the city. And by this route, I suggest not to go for a straight ride to Antipolo as it will bring you to a tricky route. Just follow the next instruction.
      2. From Cainta Junction, ride a jeepney going to Sta. Lucia Tropical Hut and then jump off when you reach the Tropical Hut.
      3. Take a little walk going to Marcos Hiway where jeepneys going to TGPM are available.
      4. Take another jeepney ride with Antipolo Paenaan sign and then just ask the driver to drop you off to the road entering TGPM.
      5. From there you will just have to take another few minutes of walk to reach the TGPM gate. You may ask the people/tricycle around the area and for sure they can easily point you to the the right direction.

      Option B.
      1. Go to Cubao
      2. In Cubao, take a ride going to Antipolo Cogeo. Both UV express and jeepney ride to take on are available.
      3. Go for a straight ride to Antipolo Cogeo. Then from there, take a another jeepney ride to Paenaan.
      4. Ask the driver to drop you off to the road entering TGPM.
      5. And same thing, from there you may ask the people/tricycle drivers and it is just a few minutes walk. No need to take the tricycle ride as it is really close from that drop off point.

      Hope this still helps.

  10. Ednalyn Trixia says:

Hi. Planning to visit this saturday. Aware on how could I get there from Recto, Manila? Thank you so much. God bless. 🙂

    • bloggerokuno says:

      Hi Ednalyn,

You may go to Isetan Recto and walk across the other road with jeepneys going to Cubao.
Then follow the suggested commuting route below:

      1. Go to Cubao
      2. In Cubao, take a ride going to Antipolo Cogeo. Both UV express and jeepney ride to take on are available (you may ask upfront from vendors around or traffic enforcers where’s the jeepney or UV express terminal going to Antipolo for ease).
      3. Go for a straight ride to Antipolo Cogeo. Take off, then from there, take a another jeepney ride to Paenaan.
      4. Ask the driver to drop you off to the road entering *TGPM.
      5. From there you may ask the people/tricycle drivers and it is just a few minutes walk. No need to take the tricycle ride as it is really close from that drop off point.
