Yesterday I saw a post over twitter and facebook that Jollibee will be giving away FREE 100 Aloha Burgers in 35 stores across the country. Since one of the store listed is located near our office, I went down this afternoon together with two of my officemates and I’m glad as we were to get each of us a coupon.

Exactly 2:30 pm, they started to give out the tickets in front of the Jollibee along Emerald Ave. Ortigas. The claiming period is between 3pm until 5pm, so we went back to the office for the meantime.

I was able to claim it around 3:45 pm. I took it home, shared a few bites with my mom, and enjoyed eating it as my merienda. Sarap!

Thanks Jollibee and Happy 35th Anniversay!

Shakey’s website seems to have been hacked and messed up their page.

At first, I thought it was just a plain joke from one of my colleagues. But when I jumped into the link, there’s really something odd on their page.

I compared two links so as to verify if it’s true or just a hoaxed “hoax” thing.  The first one is a link to the compromised page, which will direct you to the URL and landing page below:

URL:

Landing page:

On the page, you’ll see some sort of their recent posts. Notice that I highlighted two links in the screenshot above.

When you click the first link…whoala…it will open to an obscene picture of a girl. While the second link will open to this funny page below.

I tried to go then to their main website http://www.shakeyspizza.ph/.

It seems nothing wrong on the page, though I noticed that their Promotions feed box is also showing the same posts as to the said hacked page.

I don’t know if Shakey’s is already aware of this as it seems to be running on their page since January 1.

It can be funny (to some-to-many), but to the company, this can be  something serious to the security of their site.

Is this just part of their online marketing strategy? (…which, I strongly doubt)

Who knows?! I dunno…

Unless they’ve spoken and take action.

Tampisaw sa Davao

When we speak of Davao, we can always think of Durians. But of course, there’s more than that!

Tampisaw sa Davao was like the fire starter of my travelling adventure. And Davao is one of the places that I want to go back  from time to time.

I’ve had my vacation there last September 19 until 28. So it was like 10 days of being a total bum…an sarap lang (hehe)!

Now if you’re gonna ask what Davao has to offer you in terms of food, better try these:

Durian Shake

I think this is available to almost all restos and carinderias there.

Masarap promise!

Tuna Kilawin

I got to taste this when we stayed at Costa Marina in Samal Island.

You may also try Pork Kilawin ‘coz both tasted really good and you won’t smell the rawness of its meat.

At yung ibang pagkain eh wala ako picture, like their chicken inasal, barbecues, durian made candies and pastillas. By the way, don’t also forget to bring home their Suhas or Pomelos.

Ngayon, kung ikaw ay tipid mode naman but still want to have at least good dining experience, explore “eat-all-you-can” chains. I’ve tried Kuya Ed Restaurant for Php99 only.

Not to mention, Sarah Geronimo also dine here during her Next One – Philippine Tour on 2009.

In terms of place, I know there would be a lot of hotspot that you can go to.

People’s Park

(photo from Google search)

Crocodile Park

…and their zoo.

Plus, the Parkridge, na overlooking and may kainan. And at the same place, you’ll also find a bid pond housing a large number of small sharks.

Last but simply the best of all is the Samal Island.

Got a chance to stay overnight at Costa Marina Resort where you’ll find the sands are very fine too – parang pulburon. Taking dip into the water of Samal shore is indeed cool, refreshing and very relaxing – parang pwede rin for soul-searching moments.

I think I should have a lot thing to share, kaso since last year pa yung experience, eh medyo nawala yung momentum at excitement sa pagkukuwento. But for sure, I’ll take time to visit Davao again ‘coz I know I’m still also missing a lot.

Babalik ako Davao and wait until we meet again (big smile)…
